They tell us in school that reflection is a valuable practice. I guess this is as good a place as any to start.

Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.

About Me

The title of my blog refers to the numerous hats I might be wearing on any given day. Although I find myself quickly being aged out of the role of soccer mom, it seems that as soon as I relinquish one responsibility or commitment, another finds its way to me. I am the incredibly proud mother of two amazing teenagers...the 2008/2009 school year has found my daughter a senior (YIKES!) and my son a freshman (YIKES! squared). I began a mid-life career August 2007 as a middle school language arts teacher. It's a lot like herding cats. I love it, and after what I consider to be a very successful entry-level year, I thoroughly enjoyed my 84 day vacation. I intend to use this blog to reflect on the happenings of the past couple of years and to chronicle the events of the new year that looms in front of me.....
